The body positive, Disney loving artist decided to create the series after realising that how unrealistic her favourite characters body types were.
In an article with Buzzfeed, the illustrator from Wisconsin USA said; “According to the majority of kids’ movies, stories, and TV shows out there, evil people are fat, or they’re dark, or they have big noses. Consciously or unconsciously, we look at people through these filters from a young age.”
By creating this artistic collection, Procknow promotes diversity so fans don’t just see one unrelatable version of their favourite characters.
Procknow continued to say; “It’s important for everyone, not just children, to see positive depictions of people like themselves.”
“Variety is beautiful, and essential, and I will continue to promote that message as long as I can,” she told Buzzfeed.
We don’t know about you, but we think it’s super refreshing to see our childhood idols in a more diverse way, and we think the entire collection is just stunning.
Jane, TarzanThe body positivity doesn’t stop there though, the 30-year-old artist’s Instagram also features other artworks including Princess Leia sporting killer curves, and badass personal commissions too including this beauty…
